Seventh
Curriculum Guide
Our seventh grade program lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning. At Asheville PEAK Academy, we create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where scholars build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.
English Literature Arts
In 7th grade, scholars strengthen comprehension and analysis skills by reading literature, nonfiction, and primary sources. They practice evaluating arguments, comparing texts, and expanding vocabulary. Writing emphasizes persuasive essays, literary analysis, and creative expression, with a continued focus on grammar and style.
Science
In 7th grade science, scholars explore cells and human body systems, genetics and heredity, ecosystems, energy and waves, and forces in nature. Through labs, projects, and interactive activities, they connect scientific concepts to everyday life and prepare for deeper study in high school.
Math
7th grade math challenges students with more advanced concepts, including proportional relationships, linear equations, inequalities, rational numbers, geometry with angles and circles, surface area and volume, statistics, and probability. Scholars apply reasoning and problem-solving across real-world contexts.
Social Studies
7th grade Social Studies focuses on world history from the Renaissance to modern times, with emphasis on geography, economics, government, and cultural developments. Scholars learn how historical events connect globally and how past decisions shape today’s world.
